Cats should not eat cherries. The skin, flesh, and pit of cherries contain high concentrations of cyanide. If a cat eats cherries, it may experience oxygen deprivation and shock. If a cat accidentally ingests cherries, it is recommended to take it to the vet immediately for gastric lavage or to induce vomiting, depending on its condition. Besides cherries, many other common fruits are not recommended for cats, such as grapes, persimmons, apricots, avocados, and citrus fruits. 
How to deal with a cat that has accidentally eaten cherries:
1. First, induce vomiting to expel the cherries from the stomach. Give the cat water to prevent dehydration. Observe the cat's condition after 24 hours. If the condition improves, you can feed the cat small amounts of food.
2. Pay attention to diet: Observe your cat's eating habits and feed it easily digestible food. Keep the food fresh and clean and provide plenty of drinking water. When changing cat food, do so gradually.
3. Feed probiotics: You can feed your cat some probiotics. Probiotics can treat symptoms such as diarrhea, constipation, indigestion, loss of appetite, and acute and chronic intestinal stress in cats.
4. Seek veterinary care promptly: If your cat is lethargic, has a poor appetite, and has persistent abdominal distension for several days, along with other symptoms such as vomiting, fever, or blood in the stool, please take it to the vet immediately.
