A cat that has no hair at all is a Sphynx cat. Also known as the Canadian Hairless cat, the Sphynx is a breed resulting from a genetic mutation.
Because of underdeveloped hair follicles, this cat cannot grow normal fur. Except for a brush-like patch of fine hair on its tail, the rest of its body is hairless. This type of cat is extremely sensitive to sunlight and therefore needs to be kept indoors.
